Dermot Hanrahan {CEO, Electric Media Sales}
Dermot Hanrahan has been in the media business for 20 years. He brought radio station FM104 to the No.1 position in the Dublin market in the position of CEO, before selling the station in 2004.
He has been involved in online activities since 1996 when he invested in Club Internet, an ISP. In 1998 he was an investing partner in the launch of Ireland’s first digital agency, ICAN. He was Chairman of Irish dating website, Maybefriends.com. In 1999 he invested in Entertainment.ie where he remains as Executive Chairman.
Dermot is a board member of The University of Limerick Foundation and a member of the Advisory Board of UL’s Business School.
He is Chairman of RedFM in Cork, a board member of 4FM which launched in early 2009 and a director of Folder Media which has been awarded 9 digital radio licences since its launch. In 2009 he bought the cinema advertising sale company Carlton Screen Advertising.
Dermot is also Director of a new Dublin Radio station, Radio Nova, due to launch later this year.
Micheál Scully {Sales & Operations Director} {M.Sc in Informatics}
Micheál holds a B.A in Genetics and a M.Sc in Bioinformatics.
He started his career with the ISP Eircom.net selling Business Services and then moved to Google Ireland assisting retail websites in developing their marketing strategies. He joined myhome.ie in September 2007 and is now in charge of ad operations for all sites in the Electric Media network.
Aiden O'Byrne {Account Director}
Aiden has an established career approaching 25 years in contract negotiation, procurement and sales management. Aiden has sold various media product including print media on the EuroSport Franchise to clients across 4 language markets distributing to 14 European destinations. Relocating to Dublin from the U.S. in December, Aiden joined Electric Media pre-launch.
Niall Murtagh {Account Executive}
Niall joined Electric Media in May after almost 3 years working in the sales & marketing department of Bank of Ireland’s business online department. Previously, Niall gained telesales experience working for Solar Group and online experience in the operations department of internet based gambling exchange Betdaq.
Aran Nugent {Account Director} {BSoc.Sc, MBA}
Aran worked with RTÉ where he was responsible for business development across Online, Digital Text, and Mobile. Prior to this Aran was based in the U.S. working in E-learning for Laureate Education as Business Development Manager. Aran also worked in Esat Digifone when it started out and he was responsible for sales development in Munster.
Orla Cullen {Account Director}
Orla has worked in the Media Industry for over 4 years. Her Career started
in RTE working alongside the Agency Sales Team in TV sector. In 2007 she
moved into the online agency team in Sales Online and gained extensive
knowledge of online, search and mobile media.
Shane Esler {Business Devolpment Manager}
Shane has over 5 years experience in the online advertising industry.
After 2 ½ years with IrishJobs.ie (part of the SaonGroup) he was moved
to India to establish a number of city-centric recruitment portals there.
Following a six month secondment he held a similar role with the company
in the UK before returning to Ireland in 2009 and joining SalesOnline.
Shane is responsible for business development in online and mobile advertising.
Leanna Kierans {Ad Operations Executive} {MBS in Marketing}
Leanna joined the company in August 2008 having just completed an MBs in marketing in Smurfit Business School. Leanna specialized in marketing whilst undertaking a B.Comm in NUI, Galway and has marketing experience with P&G.
David Fogarty {Ad Operations Manager} {B. Sc in Computing}
A respected professional with over 4 years digital experience across online and mobile David joined the Electric Media team in March of this year (following the acquisition of SalesOnline assets).
Some of his responsibilities include the management of ad operations
team, & specialised technical support to publishers. Prior to beginning
in his career in digital advertising David successfully completed a degree
in Computing at the Institute of Technology Tallaght.
Eoghan Leader {Finacial Controller} {ACA, BA Int., HDip I.T.}
Eoghan recently joined the company as Financial Controller. Eoghan is
a chartered accountant having trained at Conlon Crotty Murray & Co.
Prior to joining the team at Electric Media Eoghan worked in the EMEA
finance department of Oracle in Dublin.
Nessa O'Hara {Accounts Assistant} {BA Communications Studies}
After finishing a B.A in Communication Studies, Nessa then went onto to complete a diploma in Online Advertising and Marketing. She started at Electric Media in February of this year, initially as part of work experience.
